As promised, coffee and the sunrise. We are unbelievably grateful to experience all the farm has to offer. Fun fact: at one point Arby's got the majority of their jalapeños from the ranch at San Lazaro. After our first traditional breakfast here, we hiked up to just a portion of the coffee plants here on the farm. We talked with Jarrod about each part of the process in producing the coffee and life around the farm. Before lunch, we discussed the system with Jarrod and took note of any changes to the system. After lunch (toastadas, my personal favorite!!) we started taking some data points for the wastewater system. The remainder of the evening will be spent bringing these data points into CAD and having team time. Tomorrow the team will split to work on updating drawings to better reflect the actual site, as well as completing a survey of a future project location for the bridge team.
